HOW EARLY TO BOOK YOUR MOVE DATE?
We recommend booking at least two weeks before your move-in date to ensure availability in our schedule. However, we can often accommodate last-minute moves as well!
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept cash, check, credit card, venmo, zelle, and cashapp. Please note there is 3% processing fee for credit cards.
WHY DO I NEED TO GIVE AN ITEM INVENTORY?
An accurate inventory ensures we assign the right number of movers, truck size, and job duration for your move.
CAN I CHANGE MY BOOKING DATE OR TIME?
Please let us know as soon as possible if there are any last-minute changes to your inventory, access, or schedule, as advance communication helps us properly staff, prepare, and keep your move running smoothly and on time.
WHAT ABOUT CHEMICALS, PROPANE, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS?
Removing hazardous items such as open chemical containers or unemptied propane tanks is important because these materials cannot be safely transported in our trucks due to the risk of spills, leaks, or fumes, which could cause damage, create health hazards, or lead to serious safety issues during transit.
WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?
We provide both local and long-distance moves, including interstate and intrastate services.
HOW DO I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY BOOKING?
For a deposit refund, we require at least 5 days’ notice prior to your move date for cancellations. To reschedule without a fee, please provide at least 48 hours notice.
WHAT IS YOUR LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION FEE
Our last-minute cancellation policy helps us manage scheduling and resources: cancellations made within 48 hours of the move will incur a 12.5% rescheduling fee, and cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a 25% rescheduling fee. This ensures we can fairly compensate our team and maintain availability for other customers.
HOW DO YOU CHARGE?
We charge by the hour, with an additional flat-rate travel fee based on the size of the truck used for your move.
SHOULD I REMOVE OR UNPACK MY DRAWERS?
We ask that any drawers containing breakable items be emptied; dresser and nightstand drawers may stay filled as long as the piece isn’t going up or down stairs, but filing cabinets do need to be fully emptied.
ARE THERE EXTRA FEES FOR STAIRS, LONG CARRIES, OR HEAVY ITEMS?
We charge extra for third-floor moves and very heavy items like gun safes, but long walks do not incur a fee—they just affect the move’s duration.
DO YOU PROVIDE PACKING AND UNPACKING SERVICES?
Yes, we provide packing services. We charge hourly for the labor, plus a flat-rate travel fee, and you’ll only be billed for the packing materials we actually use. Please note that we do not offer unpacking services, and we can assess your packing needs either through a virtual consultation or an on-site visit.
ARE PACKING MATERIALS INCLUDED OR BILLED SEPARATELY?
When we provide packing services, we’ll either do a virtual consultation or an on-site visit to assess your specific packing needs, and you’ll only be charged for the packing materials we actually use—there’s no blanket fee for materials.
WILL YOU DISCONNECT/RECONNECT APPLIANCES?
We can help disconnect and reconnect appliances like washing machines or refrigerators; however, by signing our contract, you agree to release Bobcat Movers LLC from any liability for damage related to water lines, including any water or structural damage that might occur during or after the move.
CAN YOU HELP WITH ITEM DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY?
Yes! We provide assistance with disassembly/assembly. There is no fee for this, but it may increase your move time.
ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
Yes, we are licensed through TxDMV and FMCSA. Yes, we have general liability insurance as well as a cargo insurance policy.
How do you protect furniture and floors during the move?
We carefully protect furniture with blankets and shrink wrap. We offer hardwood and carpet floor protection for an extra fee.
Do you move specialty items like pianos, safes, or gun safes?
Yes, we do move specialty items such as pianos, safes, or gun safes; however, depending on the size, weight, and whether stairs are involved, there may be an additional fee to ensure the move is safe and properly staffed.
Do you provide mounting services?
Yes, we do provide mounting services for an additional fee, completed by a select few of our trained movers.
