Towns at the far end of the map
These three have no page of their own and they are a proper drive from San Marcos. We go, and we are straight about what that means for the day.
- Blanco: On US 281 where the Blanco River runs through the middle of town, with the old limestone courthouse on the square and the state park at the edge of it. Roughly forty miles out on the ranch roads west of us.
- Johnson City: The seat of Blanco County, at the crossroads of US 281 and US 290, next to the LBJ ranch and park. Around fifty miles from San Marcos, so a move here is booked as its own day rather than squeezed in beside another job.
- Bandera: The Cowboy Capital, down on the Medina River west of San Antonio, with dude ranches and hill roads all around it. At roughly eighty five miles it is one of the furthest points we go, so a Bandera move gets its own date and its own plan.

Moving out in the hills
How far into the Hill Country do you actually go?
Our regular map runs out through Wimberley and Driftwood to Kerrville, and on to Fredericksburg, Boerne and Bandera. Past that we will still quote it, it simply becomes a long-distance job rather than a local one.
Do you move ranch properties, barns and outbuildings?
Yes. An acreage move usually means more than one building, a gate code, a cattle guard and a driveway the truck cannot turn around in. Tell us what is out there when you call and we will bring the right vehicle and the right number of people.
Can you handle antiques and awkward pieces from an older Hill Country house?
That is a large part of the work out here. Heavy oak, long-case clocks and pieces that were built in the room they stand in. They get wrapped, crated, and loaded last so they come off first.
